Jane Garrison, Director of Education for YLI Corporation, began sewing at the age of five at her mother's knee and has never stopped. She had lots of family mentors along the way. Jane briefly taught Home Economics in the public school system, owned a sewing machine dealership, designed two pattern lines, and worked for a major sewing machine manufacturer before joining YLI. YLI Corporation of Rock Hill, SC has been the leader in supplying ribbons, threads for sewing and quilting, decorative threads, braids and cords for over 20 years.

  We cannot sew without thread and with all the different products available today, how do you choose the best thread for the application?
  In this PowerPoint presentation, we see many of the possible uses for each product with hand and machine application. We will talk a bit about general thread and needle information and then concentrate on decorative threads, yarns, and ribbons. Embellishment techniques for hand, sewing machine and serger usage will be covered.
