Greetings Fellow Quilters,
As I write this, I’m looking out my window at four bright red cardinals eating away on a feeder. Two blue jays are waiting for me to feed them their morning peanut snacks and the woodpeckers are busy with the suet cakes I put out yesterday. The trees may be bare, but the birds will provide me with lots of color for the next few months. “Baby, it’s cold outside,” is the only song in my head right now.
This is the time of year for comfort foods. I see big bowls of mac and cheese, lots of steamy chicken noodle soup and you have to have tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Traditionally quilters grab those UFOs about now and curl up on the couch with the pile of quilts that need the binding sewn down.
All of you who have been around a while know exactly what I am talking about. We will be back to our all-day sewing on Thurs., Jan 26. I hope to see lots of old friends and new friends then.
Have a wonderful holiday season, everyone.
